DE S IGN THINKING Research and Analysis of corporate communication channels are important across multiple pillars of business, such as the value proposition you offer your customer, corporate behavior, or the actions inside the company that define its values and strategy. Understanding the problems your users / clients experience when using your product or service, and anticipating problems to avoid, by validating user personas and a user lifecycle funnels identifying key features / deliverables your users and clients most want. Through applying qualitive and quantative research methods, valuable business insights are gained, laying foundations to be implemented in Design & Strategy resulting in effective interaction. EMPATHIZE If you want to truly understand your users and what they need, then you have to get inside their heads. We'll dive into the theory and practice of empathy exercises so that you can create measurable outcomes and stronger products with more informed designs. DEFINE Being able to clearly define your problem will help you understand what expectations, assumptions, and constraints exist. By having a clear problem defined, it is also possible to map out the key stakeholders involved in your problem as well as determine who might be affected by your solution once implemented. IDEATE Ideation is a creative process in which participants come up with ideas to address a suggested challenge. The main focus of ideation is generating a lot of large-quantity ideas in the beginning of the design process in order to filter out the bad ideas and narrow down the best ones for later elaboration and refinement. PROTOTYPING Prototypes are a rough sketch of your product idea, allowing you and users to explore the functionality of a feature or the overall intend of your design without having to invest time and money into development. This can help you get instant feedback on your idea in order to iterate quickly, inexpensively and efficiently. TESTING The test phase of Design Thinking is essential to discovering how users respond to your prototype. Testing allows you to see what aspects of your product or service are successful, and what areas need improvement. You'll use the test phase to gather feedback from potential customers, allowing you to create a superior product / service. IMPLIMENTATION Building on the planning and preparation done in the other phases, you will now put your project into action, implement what you have decided to do. The most important aspect of this phase is that it involves people actively carrying out the project activities. This requires the project manager to coordinate and direct the project resources to fulfill their roles and responsibilities, as outlined in the project plan. While the project is unfolding it’s the project manager’s job to keep tracking and monitoring activity along the way.

Also, Ricardo is a KPI ROKS Expert and love to implement KPI dashboards in organisations and define their Key Performance Indicators. TALKS ABOUT Result orientated KPI-systems (ROKS) | Human centric design | Service design | OMNI-Channel solutions | Testing & Research Better KPI' s , Better Result s What i s a KPI? KPI stands for key performance indicator, a quantifiable measure of performance over time for a specific objective. KPIs provide targets for teams to shoot for, milestones to gauge progress, and insights that help people across the organization make better decisions. KPIs and measures can drive a business in the right direction, or become instruments of torture. I believe that most organisations can do a lot more with the data and systems they already have. What i s the ROK S ™ approach? The ROKS approach is a simple seven-step method for developing key performance indicators (KPIs). It involves identifying the core outcomes an organisation is looking for, breaking those outcomes into two further levels of detail and then identifying the KPIs related to those results. Who is the ROKS Enterprise™ approach designed for? Medium to large enterprises that want to use their strategic objectives to develop focussed, effective set of performance indicators. It can also be useful for smaller organisations with complex or unusual needs. When not to use the ROKS Enterprise™ approach If you run a small-medium business where your business goals can be fully described by the following objectives… Run a profitable and s olvent bu s ine ss A growing business A balanced quality of life A legal and compliance business An innovative business Manage risk (legal, health and safety, environmental etc.) ... you will find the ROKS Express™ method is better tailored to your needs. - Structure | Design in Focus #CID
Structure Design in Focus #CID is a multimedia channel and professional platform demonstrating the value & impact of CID in business & society, through creating and publishing multimedia such as podcasts, shows, infographics and articles. CID refers to Creative | Innovation | Design. Mission & Vision Take a moment and look around your space, how much of what you see has not been created, innovated and or designed? It's very safe to say, even if made poorly, almost all physical matter around you has been created by design. This is our world. We needed a warm place to sleep, so we created beds. We wanted comfort so we innovated materials to provide warmth, comfort, support. We want our beds to look inviting so we design an array of models. Everything around you made by man which you can't live without follows the same pattern. There exists a need, and that need is met with creative problem solving and design thinking, and often innovation to deliver the best possible solutions to that need, this creates good business too, and serves society. Design in Focus' Mission is to demonstrate the Value and Impact of CID in Business and Society, through publishing multimedia content and providing a platform for CID professionals and stakeholders to add value and impact. Our Vision is to become a corner stone and an enabler for the collective to demonstrate their own contributions to the Value and impact of CID in Business & Society. Read more The project In the project overview you can read about the DiF (Design in Focus) Public & Professional platforms, as well as more information about the various levels of Design in Focus. Read more Design in Focus was founded by Candice Storm in May 2022 in Amsterdam, the Netherlands. After the first idea was sparked, she conducted a brief market study and contacted several professionals. Having received positive feedback and responses to support potential she developed the concept further, and began to create and produce the MVP. Since September 2022 Candice has been working on finalising the platform and various elements & documentation preparing for the inception of a foundation. The decision to give Design in Focus a foundational form is based on the goals and objectives of DiF, which aims to gather all CID industry related topics and events which adds value and impact to business and society, and this is extended to the professionals who make up the industry. PODCA S T S TRUCTURE Here is what you should know about the podcast structure on Design in Focus. We hope this information helps you prepare for our session(s). TO START Podcasts can be audio and or video format, your choice. You may participate in a one and done or return as a regular. If you choose, we create an experience page with your details and content we produce together. Either way, start by first registering through filling out the form. Register INTAKE We arrange a conversation to talk about and plan the session(s) We set the date and time We record. RECORDING We record the session(s) in Zoom. It's free to download here . Below we have added some video and photo backgrounds that you may download and use if you would like to. We would suggest using one of them for the purpose of maintaining a well designed look. It is optional and you may keep your own backgrounds as you like. Only relevant for video recording. #industrytalks Industry talks follow the same structure. We use the journalistic standard of 5W1H together with a short summary and a question about the value and impact of topic to #CID. 5W1H -> Who -> What -> Why -> Where -> How This is just a general outline and some questions may not be applicable, but this standard is a good way to prepare answers in a way that people can understand. The requested summary is used to create a short teaser before publishing which we create for marketing purposes and to grab attention on the topic, so that people will want to go listen to the full episode. Our main goal is to demonstrate the value and impact of CID, therefore it would be great if you have demonstrable answers such as facts and figures or cases you can talk about. #thehumanexperience For the human experience we would like to hear you as a persona talk about CID topics that have had meaningful and rewarding impact for you, so the format is quite open and you can lead the conversation as you like, providing it relates to CID. #thedreamteamroundtable During The Dream Team Roundtable sessions we tackle a topic as a group of people and try to solve or improve it. #thedarksideoftheforce In the Darkside of the Force sessions we again make use of the 5W1H method, with the final question What can we do about it? or How do we improve it? PROCCESSING & EDITING It may take a couple of weeks for us to prepare the podcast. Once we have a final version we send it to you for approval. Once you approve it, we sign a contract containing information such as agreements to how we may use it, channels where it will be published, and other legal requirements. PUBLISHING When we receive the signed contract we publish the works and share relevant links with you. We would recommend that you share the links within your networks so that we can get more listeners to our content. BACKGROUND S FOR ZOOM # cid # c reative # i nnovation # d esign
