We are searching for Hosts and Sponsors. Help us make these events happen. There are many perks and benefits for getting involves, and you can read about it in the info section. Below you can see all the events that require extra support to happen. The Awareness Initiative was started by Randstad UX, a network and community in the Randstad region in the Netherlands. This is an open network and not funded by any organisations or collectives.
All of our events are paid for by the organiser Candice Storm, who does not profit financially from the network. Therefore sponsorship, donation and hosting our events enable us to create more.

Sponsor or Host Network & Community Events!
What is in it for you and what can you expect?
What are the processes and who are the people?
Here is all the info you need to decide to support design professionals in this network.
____________________________________________________________________
What are network and community Events?
Our network and community events are events that are relevant to design professionals in the Randstad and also beyond. These range from Talks, Presentations, Panels, Debates & Discussions to workshops, and we are planning a Gala in October. .
____________________________________________________________________
Who attends our events?
Only the most fantabulous of course! There are many design stakeholders who are in our network and who join our events. Ranging in age and level with professions including design, research, activation, production and operations. What you can be sure about is that these professionals are seeking growth and using their own time to develop their skills, knowledge and connections.
View the Sky Lounge Network & Cocktails event we organised in June to see some of the faces that attend our events.

Who hosts or sponsors our events?
Organisations and individuals who gain value from doing so. There are a couple of different ways that value is created and different professionals and organisations have a couple of goals they may achieve.
-
Those seeking to give back.
Many people enjoying a lifestyle of privilege and or high profits seek to support good causes to relay their gratitude or share their successes.
-
Organisations with cash to burn.
Sometimes there is a budget to play with and organisations use it to invest in industry stakeholders or in good causes.
-
Organisations Seek employees.
Employee acquisition can be costly and quality professionals may be hard to find. By sponsoring or hosting network and community events, organisations gain access to professionals who are dedicated enough to their professional growth to attend network and community events. These people are the passionate type who often, not always, but often eat, sleep and breath their craft.
-
Organisations who are actively seeking to elevate their CSR & ESG programs.
CSR. Corporate Social Responsibility and supporting professional growth of individuals within the industry goes hand in hand. By supporting the network and community, organisations also gain to hit targets in two pillars of the Environmental Social Governance frameworks.
-
Organisations that offer valuable products, services, tools and resources that UX professionals may want to use.
Imaginary instances to ideate on.
Figmiro is an organisation that develops prototyping tools that UX professionals can use to turn all their projects into great successes. To demonstrate to the UX industry how valuable their tools are, they sponsor (and maybe collaborate or host) a network and community event featuring two independent speakers and an internal workshop. Thereby, they give two pro’s the chance to talk about their career passions and learnings, while enabling attendees to learn, network and grow, as well as demonstrate their product capabilities.
StormCIS is an agency that designs digital products and services and who wishes to connect with UX professionals who may want to outsource the production to another company. By sponsoring a network or community event, the company gains visibility in the market and stands a chance to find stakeholders.
Studio sUXess is an organisation that has had some really really profitable years and has the coolest space in the whole of the Randstad. They want to show off what a neat hub they have and all their cool tech! Mostly they want to share their successes and how they got there in programmes they have developed for success. By sponsoring or hosting network or community events, they get in touch with industry pro’s who would like to learn from them and replicate success.
-
General Brand Awareness.
When we organise events, we also create media and content around it, we can design and publish an array of media and content, as well as share it with the organisation to publish, or they may help design or design much of it themselves. Either way, its a great way to make your mark in the industry.
-
Networking.
No brainer here, but these kinds of events as mentioned before, tend to be filled with dedicated and motivated professionals.
-
Enhancing company culture.
The best way to enhance a company culture is to directly invest in professionals. Organisations may choose to host or sponsor events in which their own employees are the stars. By investing in their employees career development goals, they really demonstrate a culture of promise.
-
Stay on top of competition
Networking and learning opportunities in the industry will always be welcome, as people are always looking to grow. Being the one to provide such opportunities puts you in a good place in the industry. Others will see you as an authority and trustworthy brand, which sets you apart from the rest.
____________________________________________________________________
What are the costs involved?
There is no set cost and it depends on what you have to offer.
Small
For our June event, one round of cocktails was sponsored and for our March event, our gracious sponsor picked up the entire tab! If you host an event, the cost can be pretty low, but if you have a refreshments budget of 200-800, you can contribute to a great event. Often at these events speakers and presenters are unpaid, but willing to participate because they have important stuff to talk about.
Ideally we would like to reward our stage personalities with at least a t-shirt. 30 bucks each will get us there.
Don’t worry if you don’t have much of a budget. Sometimes just a venue is good enough. For Example for our developing “The Aiding & Abetting Squad” events, where professionals will get together to practise and test their public speaking and workshops, having just a venue is perfect.
Medium
1000 to 2000 Euros can really go a long way. With his amount we can provide snacks and drinks and get everyone a T-shirt.
BIG
Any budget over 2000 will elevate the events phenomenally. In these cases, we can organise truly grand events.

What do you get?
Above under the “Who hosts or sponsors our events?“ question, some of the value and returns are outlined. Aside from achieving those goals, there are a few things we can guarantee.

We also made a couple of videos
All of this, plus the event was all organised in less than 3 weeks! With a more planned strategy, we can do even more.
Remember, the January event happened when the network was only 4 months old!
And most importantly, keep in mind that it’s all organic.
We really are growing month by month! How much more could we grow with some investment? Phenomenally! Next to creating awesome network and community events, our other main goal is to become a source of inspiration for UX professionals in the Randstad (and probably beyond)
Our upcoming monthly classifieds newsletter will gather UX relevant stories and content to share with the network, including UX services, tools, trainings, events, conferences, professional achievements and much more.
Our notice board is a place where we enable professionals to share relevant UX notices also. And with our events page we are not only highlighting our events, but any and all relevant UX events in the Randstad and online globally.
